FAQS

LOCATION

Mallets for Melanoma will be held at the Denver Polo Club's Sedalia Fields (6354 Airport Rd, Sedalia, CO). Directions once off the freeway can be tricky so look out for the event signs pointing you on your way!

PARKING

Parking is not allowed next to the field unless you have purchased a tailgating ticket. Parking will be located at the top of the field grounds (where the big horse statues are) where a shuttle service, Jays Valet, will be provided.

TAILGATING

Tailgating spots can be reserved for $15 via the ticket purchase website and are assigned on a first-come first-serve basis the day of the event ---- so arrive early to get a good seat! Tailgating spots do not come with tents or lawn-chairs. Please note that only 1 car will be allowed per reserved space and ask that all other members of your party use the general event parking with free shuttle service provided.

ATTIRE

Traditional polo attire is recommended. Ladies may choose to wear a festive, grand hat but it is suggested to leave the high heels at home in favor of flats or wedges. The entire event will be staged on grass. Gentlemen may prefer to wear jackets and ties, but they are not a requirement. The tailgate side may be more casual.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

No worries! There are enormous tents big enough to cover everyone and umbrellas are always onsite to protect yourself from the sun & the rain. Unless there is a dangerous thunderstorm already underway, plan on coming rain or shine! Based on previous experience, we've learned that if there is an ominous weather forecast on the day of the event it does not show up until late-afternoon when the event is over.

CHILDREN

Kids 18 years and younger are encouraged to attend as they can enter the event for free (food and drink not included)! For the younger ones, a large bouncy castle, supervised by one of the event volunteers, will be onsite for them to play; for the older ones, a mini-polo rink will be set up where they can get on a horse and try-out polo for themselves.

FOOD & DRINK

The event will host both local restaurants, craft breweries and distilleries who will be providing food and tastings to attendees holding the VIP TICKETHOLDERS ONLY. We encourage General Admission (including <18yo free entrance) ticketholders to bring your own food and drinks for the day as there will be many places to sit and enjoy the polo match (water bottles will be available onsite to all attendees without charge). Food & drink ticket upgrades can be purchased at the event for $70 (Adults) and $30 (Children)
